Finally!!! I got word this morning that these %#^@*%)#&@!!! braces are coming off, and on my birthday of all days, July 20th! I'm starting the diet now, because after the braces are removed, I am going to eat like a hog - good Carolina BBQ, steak, anything with nuts, and then I'm going to chew the biggest wad of gum I can fit in my mouth! I might just go to a buffet and eat myself stupid like the guy in the Monty Python movie who ended up exploding!

Be careful, Linda. You may remember that prior to exploding he also did an awful lot of throwing up - not the most attractive thing in the world, and it certainly wouldn't endear you to most people. x;-)
Congratulations on losing the braces. I can't imagine what it must be like, but they sure do look uncomfortable.
BTW congrats on the braces.
I remember "independence day" for my daughter. I just kept telling her to smile for me. She was relieved and I was awed by the transformation!

It's amazing how smooth your teeth feel afterwards! It beats the metal and the loose wires on the tongue! x:(
Be careful (Just one small thin wafer!)
I had a seizure as a child and the medication made a mess of my teeth - it hardens the gums. So when my adult teeth finally came in they were a mess - some were growing backwards into my nasal cavity. When I got those braces off - wow!- what a difference. Only a dentist can now tell I was ever on Dilantin.
I remember planning a trip to Faneuil Hall for the big day to get a peanut covered caramel apple. My friends and I took the train over only to find the place had closed! x:'( I ended up buying peanut brittle from the candy shop and eating it till I got a belly ache. x:-8
As much as I hated the braces when I had them, it was well worth it. I love it when people comment on my beautiful teeth!
Oh, yeah. I too remember that you owe us a picture.
