See the black blob on the top to the right of the small mountain? That's an Apache helicopter. They do test flights over the desert. Sometimes it's a little eerie to see them hovering over you.

Anyway, as the photographer seemed more interested in my car and the desert than me, I thought I'd throw in a shot from our family pictures last month.

Okay, we'll settle this once and for all. Just to make sure my cheese wasn't slipping off my cracker, I pulled the jacket out of my closet last night. It's brown. Watched an episode of Discovery Wings about the first Gulf War and they were interviewing Gen. Horner who was wearing a jacket exactly like mine. Also brown. Case closed. It's BROWN!

No, it isn't a jackalope. Jackalopes are indigenous to Wyoming and to my knowledge their range hasn't extended beyond the state boundaries.

I think jackalopes must have migrated because I grew up with them in the Antelope Valley in California.

OK, I bit. Someone tell me the truth! Is there really such a thing? I got stung a long time ago on a "Snipe Hunt." You, of course, understand my skepticism. I've been around a long time and I've never heard of such a thing!

Now I don't want Leslie's tread to digress a topic of Jackelopes. Just tell me the truth and I'll be outta' here.

My apologies to Leslie for saying 'scissorlock'. I think I meant to say 'hammerlock'. Scissorlock, I think, implies use of the legs twisted around the body of another person, twisted together at the ankles and squeezed till one almost busts a gut. I meant to say the act of wrapping ones arm around the neck of another and gripping the wrist of one hand in the clinched fist of the other. I think that's a hammerlock. That's what your lookalike used to put me in. Am I off the hook? I'm being honest. x}>
