I make a great French Meat Pie ......all pork, with a recipe handed down from my memere.......... have also won ribbons for my raisin squares. Let's see... Emeril Lagasse comes from my home town, good old Fall River, MA. So does Lizzie Borden...............
I'm 5'3" - have gone through 3 microwaves in 10 years. My husband calls me the "queen of one pot." If I can make it in one pot, microwave it, or get it delivered, we're good!
I would still buy the HR Forum cook book and read it.
I make great potato salad. The family demands it at all summer picnics. I also do a mean taco salad. My desire is to learn to make all the great Southern food...fried chicken, cornbread, grits. Don can you help me out in this area?
Don't do it! During the gulf war (the first one) I was sent South and gained 20 pounds -- couldn't fit into my dress blues and had to have a new set issued. All the rich, fried, Southern food did me in. Dropped the weight as soon as I got home.

I'd have to say my current favorite is Pizza Margarhita. My life has changed since I learned to make pizza on the grill. It's sooooooooo much better than pizza in the oven (even with a baking stone) and the simple flavors of tomato, good mozzarella and fresh basil can't be beat!
No, the crust goes right on the grill. You grill one side for a few minutes, flip it, add your toppings and grill for another 5 minutes or so until everything looks done, and voila, pizza!
I make a mean gumbo! I also make a great chicken marsala and cracked peppercorn beef tenderloin. My SO is a professionally trained chef so I do not get to dispaly my talents often. Lets not forget desert. I do a 5 chocolate brownie that melts in your month.
I love cooking (I collect cookbooks, so I would be glad to add another to my collection) and enjoy trying new recipes of any type. In my family, though I'm known for my desserts. Especially my chocolate chip pie and fudge batter pudding cake. I'd share some of my recipes if I could get some from you all. Just reading this thread has made my mouth water. I can hardly wait for my son's little league baseball season to be over so I have more time to play in the kitchen!
Ok, no one else is volunteering to collect the recipes, so I guess I will. If everyone will email me one or two of their favorite recipes, I will put them in a printable format and email out to everyone who wants one. My home email is jmpmo@yahoo.com. Send the recipes and let us all enjoy!!
Okay, culinary types. You asked for it, you got it.
I hereby announce the creation of a new Forum category - HR Hero Sandwiches and Other Culinary Delights.
Use it to submit your favorite recipes. We'll leave it up as long as there's interest. If there are enough submissions, we may even create an online cookbook out of them.

Well, I think that all depends on the quality of the recipes. If the recipes are good enough, we'll be too distracted by cooking to bother with pricing.

I think it was Voltaire who said that - not Leona Hemsley.
