Is it my imagination, or is Gillian missing? Do we need to send a search party to Tijuana? Maybe it's just because it's almost summer and he also has to cut the grass at the college where he works.
OK, there's six of us and others starting to come into the room. Join hands with the person to your left, close your eyes, push your shoes off and let's do this mantra; OOhhhmmmmmm. I forget the rest of it. We need Paul to lead the chant. Surely we can resurrect Gillian. I'm pretty sure he's on vacation again. Working at a college in California, I believe they get vacation about twice a quarter.
He reappeared once before after a week or so absence and said he'd been on vacation. Last I heard he said his daughter has just gotten married and was moving in. Maybe they locked him in the broom closet!
For certain, Gillian will admonish 'one of us' upon his return, and it ain't me! Speaking of which; your daughter just got married...did you go along? Or did you just send money?
No. I figured that if she had the funds to go to the Bahamas and get married, she didn't need a measly pittance from me. x:P But, I am considering buying a Hallmark card to mark the occassion. x;-) Thanks for askin.
So, still no Gillian? Should we be concerned? Should we send out a search party? It's been way too long. Maybe he has resurrected himself and is laughing silently at us right now!
OK, here I am. Gillian2 is Gillian from another location. Without all the gory details, I am no longer at the university. Anyone who would like the gory details can go to www.dailybulletin.com, click on search, change the first date to 5-l-03, put Sinclair Hugh in the search box thing, click on submit and there you are - WesternU fires whistleblower. The one detail I will add since whistleblowers are not universally loved and some question why they do not go through channels is that my former boss, the Exec. VP of Finance and Business went through channels to the Board of Trustees with the same issues and he got fired in January.
I am resurrecting my consulting practice but will probably keep it low key and perhaps have a semi-retired stage for a couple of years. Fortunately, I maintained my expert witness business and teaching so I am not starting from scratch like 16 years ago.
I am either sorry to learn this news or am congratulating you for your integrity and your new lease on life! As you know, we certainly missed you and had imagined all sorts of evil things happening, including your disappearance to Mexico where you were maybe lounging in a breezy tequila bar for gringos. Welcome back and I hope you will be able to rejoin us in your usual fashion as expert mentor and sage. Don D.
G2, I just finished reading the articles you indicated. The path you have chosen is rocky but you know that you have made the right decision. I, for one, wish you the strength to endure this, the peace of mind to console you, and the emotional stamina to rise above all the mud slinging. As I write this, I feel sad that one must be put through such an ordeal for doing an honorable act. Keep in touch, we care.
It is a sad commentary on the state of our society when a person with the courage to stand up against "the powers that be" is treated in such a deplorable manner.
I commend you for actions, and I hope that this can resolved quickly, and as painlessly as possible.
Welcome back Gillian2, you were missed and while I am sorry for your troubles certainly commend your courage in what I am sure was a difficult situation.

Thanks to the person who contacted me directly.
Glad to hear from you. Keep us posted.

Glad you are back. Sounds like you had your hands full, but you are probably better off not working for such an administration.
