Is there any way to increase the response to exit interviews? Since most of our employees are not present when the managers complete separation reports (restuarants), we have been mailing them with the separation notices. We ask that they fill it out and return in the self addressed, stamped envelope enclosed with the paperwork. The response has been non-existent. Does anybody have a better idea to increase responses?

Also, you can hire an outside contractor to do this. Call me if you decide to go that route and I'll make a referral to a business that uses grad students to call ex-employees and then furnishes real-time information via computer to their clients.
