We are probably going to have to put our non-exempt employees on a 32 hour work week due to the slow down in our orders. I know that exempt employees who work any part of the week must be paid full salary and I know that we cannot adjust exempt pay if the employees don't work because the company has no work for them.
But, if an exempt employee voluntarily wants to take a day off during the week because work is slow for everyone, can the exempt employee's pay be reduced accordingly?
