new minimum wage?

I am hearing rumors that minimum wage is going up to $7 per hour. Does anyone have the scoop on this?

That is news to me. During an election year it is unlikely that republicans would go there, that is more of a democrat ploy.

Oops, I forgot my personal pledge not to mention political parties.

'T': Increasing the minimum wage is the ongoing mantra of Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts. Right now he is too actively engaged as Candidate Kerry's mouthpiece to do photo ops about minimum wage. But, look for him and a few others to pop up here and there in the near future on this subject. But, for now, it just appears to be a pipe dream of his.

You should be here in Washington (state) where minimum wage is $7.17. But then again, a gallon of milk will cost you $4. :-)
