Florida, exempt employee monthly salary

I would like to know if the state of Florida has a specified monthly salary requirement for exempt employees?

  • Unlike California when it comes to compensation, Florida follows the federal guidelines. Therefore, the employer would have to follow the current FLSA guidelines of paying at least $155/week or $250/week, depending on whether the employer is doing the short or long exemption test. Of course, this will change when the new regulations go into effect by the end of summer requiring the employer to pay at least $455/week.
