I am in search of salary survey data and/or websites to visit similar to Salary.com. The position I am trying to benchmark would be VP Administration. Any help would be appriciated.
Comments
1) The Hay Group
2) CBIA (CT Business & Industry Association) -- most states probably have an organization like it
3) Government stats (previous posts mention them)
4) Industry organizations and affiliations that my company belongs to
5) Internet (Salary.com, wageweb). I recently completed a salary analysis on our IS department, and got some good information from Monster.com -- some posts include salary information.
I also network with HR people in companies that are similar to mine.
Wouldn't it be great it HR Hero included a forum specifically for sharing salary information? Anybody else out there interested in this?
Sharing salary information via HRhero.com is a great idea. What about a form to fill in job title, salary, benefits, and comments? What other items would you want to share? Possibly the city and state to gauge differences in cost of living? Let me know what other demographics you'd be interested in.

Position title, compensation, industry, size of company, and state.
Thanks. This will work well.
Thank you for providing a site where I can access "real" information and feedback!! I look forward to reading it everyday.
Any suggestions??
Someone else asked me about this a few days ago. After getting input from forum users and other HR people, I suddenly realized why this information is scarce (or you have to pay big $$ for it) - it's a HUGE, complicated task to put together this kind of survey. xflash That's not to say we don't have it still on our to-do list, but it's going to be a little while before we attempt it. If we do it, we want to do it right. We'll be sure to let everyone know when we launch the survey.
