Completing a 5500 for a Large Welfare Plan

Good Morning!

I'm hoping someone out there will be able to help me with this question. I contacted the IRS, however they said that it could be up to 15 business days before they provide me an answer. Hopefully I will hear from them, however thought I'd at least check with the forum to see if anyone else has this issue.

We have several different benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability, and short term disability). In the past two years, I have always filed a 5500 for each under the Small Welfare Plan criteria, completing the 5500, Schedule A and Schedule I. Our company has grown, and for 2006, I need to file under the definition of a Large Welfare Plan, which indicates that I could possibly have to complete the 5500, along with Schedule A, C, D, G, and H. However, as I read the requirements for each schedule, it appears because I have all fully insured plans, that I only need to complete a Schedule A.

I seems odd that I would actually have to complete less forms that what I have completed in the past. Is there anyone else out there that only completes the 5500 with a Schedule A and nothing else?

Thanks! Any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated.

Lisa
