wendywsc, I asked this question recently, too. Go to "search" at the lower left of your screen and type in "designate fml". The first option should be my post and all the replies regarding your same question.
thanks, hrq, AZ. I just finish revising our handbook, printed hundreds of copies, and am in the process of now rolling it out. I have the information in the Manager's training guide, which explains that FMLA will run concurrent with WC, and thought I'd put it in the policy itself, but did not. I was just hoping I could get away with not having to send out a revision before the revised handbooks are barely in the hands of all our employees. . . wishful thinking, I was in denial, just one of those things I needed to see in writing before it sinks in!
Well THAT's what you get for actually FINISHING a revision! x;-) As soon as you do, you find something else you need to change. Murphy's law or something like that. I've been compiling revision materials for almost a year now and am sure there are issues I haven't considered.
