Employee Harassment

I have an employee that is receiving phone calls at work from her husband's ex-girlfriend. Due to the business conducted in this particular department, all phone calls are recorded. We have a recordng of these calls. The calls are very upsetting to our employee as the caller is asking her questions such as, "does she know where her husband is, etc?" As an employer, what can we do to stop these calls at work?

Have you talked with your I.T. Department? I'm no expert, but perhaps there is a way for them to block that number.

Thank you for responding to my plea for help regarding one of my employees receiving harassing telephone calls at work. My IT Department is looking into the blocking the calls from the individual making the calls.

I have had these kinds of calls directed to my number and I tell the caller if they don't stop harassing our ee, we will call the police and press harassment charges.

I would also inform her that the calls have been and will continue to be recorded. That might make her think twice.

Thank you to everyone for responding to my question regarding an employee receiving harassing phone calls at work. My IT Deparment is checking into blocking the telephone number of the person making the calls and I was able to obtain the individual's address and am sending them a letter that they must stop with the phone calls.
