Personal Days for Illness

Our employees accrue personal days for illness, vacation and other personal reasons. If an hourly employee comes to work hacking, and coughing and loudly complaining about how sick she is, can we send her home and deduct the time from her personal days?

I think so. That's what the PTO is for. I would document her comments about how sick she is and observations about her condition. Then get her out of there before everyone else gets sick too.
