Employment of Canadian residents

I need some information/guidance on what our obligation is in employing residents of Canada to sell & service US products in the US. The employees will live in Canada but work in the US about 80% of the time. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

if they work here 80% of the time,will they have to take up residence?as you may know,moving between the two countries is pretty easy,but it's when you take up residnece that things get a little harder....mike

They will not reside in the US. Their desire is to remain a resident of Canada. Are we going to run into any issues with the employees living in Canada and working in the US? Thank you for your assistance!

christy is right...brian is your guy on this...i don't think that living in canada and coming to do business in the us will be a problem provided the stays in the us are for short durations---a week or so and they go back to canada...mike
